Operation Sindoor: India's precise attack on terror camps.
Operation Sindoor: India’s swift, precision strike on nine terror camps across Pakistan and PoK in May 2025—over 100 terrorists neutralized in 25 minutes.

Government of India’s Position on Operation Sindoor
On April 22, 2025, terrorists linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba carried out a brutal attack on Indian tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir. The assault claimed 26 lives, including that of a visitor from Nepal. This calculated act of terror sought to spread fear and damage the region’s growing tourism economy, marking the deadliest strike on civilians since the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.
The Resistance Front (TRF), a proxy for Lashkar-e-Taiba, claimed responsibility. Despite India’s intelligence alerts and repeated international warnings, Pakistan failed to act against terrorist networks operating from its soil.
In response, after monitoring escalating threats, India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7, 2025. This was a precise, non-escalatory military action targeting nine terrorist facilities across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu & Kashmir. All identified sites were directly involved in planning or supporting attacks against India.
Carefully designed to avoid harm to Pakistani military assets and civilians, the operation showcased India’s commitment to responsible defense — striking terror infrastructure without triggering wider conflict. Its objectives were clear: dismantle networks that threaten Indian lives, deter future attacks, and bring those behind the Pahalgam massacre to justice.
This response aligns with global expectations, echoing the United Nations Security Council’s call for accountability of terrorists and their sponsors. It underscores India’s resolve to protect its citizens, uphold justice, and contribute to regional peace and stability.
Previous Counter-Terror Operations
India has a record of decisive yet measured responses to terrorism:
Operation Vijay (1999): Reclaimed Kargil heights by pushing back infiltrating Pakistani forces.
Operation Parakram (2001–2002): A massive troop deployment after the Parliament attack to deter further aggression.
Operation Ginger (2011): A covert raid across the Line of Control targeting Pakistani positions.
Surgical Strikes (2016): Destroyed terror launch pads in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir following the Uri attack.
Balakot Air Strikes (2019): Hit a major Jaish-e-Mohammad training camp in Pakistan after the Pulwama bombing.
These operations reflect India’s evolving counter-terror strategy — combining precision, strategic restraint, and clear diplomatic signaling to defend the nation while avoiding uncontrolled escalation.
Conclusion
Operation Sindoor reaffirms India’s zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism. By focusing solely on terrorist infrastructure, executing strikes with accuracy, and preventing civilian harm, India sends a powerful message: attacks on its people will be met with firm, focused, and responsible action. Those who plan or enable such violence will be held to account, and national security will always remain a top priority.Write your text here...
